Sordoni Construction Company is Hiring a Project Accountant Near Bedminster, NJ

Project Accountant

Responsibilities:

  • Collect monthly subcontractor payment applications, review for accuracy, and prepare for Project Manager review
  • Communicate consistently and effectively with subcontractors to reconcile pay application status with respect to original contracts, change orders, and pending change orders
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all subcontractor, supplier, and vendor representatives
  • Create monthly owner Invoice and submit together with the backup required based on the owner/contract
  • Review all subcontractor and supplier preliminary lien waivers for accuracy
  • Process all subcontract change orders including syncing between Procore and Sage, and record-keeping in both Procore and company job folders
  • Performs other duties and accounting tasks as assigned
  • Function as “Job Site Accountant” and follow all jobsite safety protocols including OSHA 10

Qualifications

  • Strong computer / technical skills with proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business or related field preferred
  • Strong written and verbal skills; communicates effectively with management, employees, customers and vendors.
  • Must have own means of reliable transportation and be willing to travel throughout NJ as well as NY and Eastern PA
  • Experience in Procore, Bluebeam or Adobe, Sage 300 CRE, and TimberScan is preferred but not required
  • Experience in the construction industry and job cost accounting a plus
  • Strong financial aptitude and attention to detail
  • Results-orientated with proven ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
